Colour printing

This is the second of 3 simple entries explaining differences in colour printing.

Four colour

This uses four inks in varying amounts in order to produce a wide range of colours. It is ideal for reproducing photographic images or other material with complex colour combinations. Due to the mixing of the four inks it is not always highly accurate for individual specific colours.

Opening of Labels of Amersham

As a Corporate Sponsor we were delighted last week to be invited to the opening of Labels, the new dress agency in Old Amersham. This is a new venture for Florence Nightingale Hospice which gives you the chance to sell your designer clothes with 50% of the sale price to you and 50% to the charity.

In additional to selling high quality second hand products the shop also carries a range of brand new end of season stock from independent retailers.

The shop was officially opened at 11.00am on Friday by Alison, the Countess of Buckinghamshire who cut the ribbon to let the first customers in. Bluepepper’s Lorraine made the first purchase of the day – a new handbag.

Bluepepper Designs has produced swing tickets for use as price tags and business cards for the shop to fit in with their decor and logo.

More details about the shop can be found at Florence Nightingale Hospice website.

Colour printing

This is the first of 3 simple entries explaining differences in colour printing.

Single colour
Most commonly this refers to black ink, but can also be any other individual colour. A single colour design can include tints of the selected colour to give variety to the finished product. Single colour printing can be very cost-effective and with a good design can still have a great deal of impact.

Hospice Recipe Book

We were very proud recently to produce a 100 page recipe book for Florence Nightingale Hospice.

The book consisted of recipes supplied by staff and friends of the Hospice, plus some celebrities’ favourite recipes.

We sponsored the design and artwork and initially printed 200 books which are being sold to raise money for the Hospice.

They are currently selling like hot cakes!
